Just found that a new 1 :250,00 topographic map of Warburton came out a couple of years ago (2023 ). At this small scale you will not see much fine detail but it gives a good idea of the whole of the surrounding area.

Dirty Gully .... yep that is its name. It is on the O'Shannassy aqueduct trail at Warburton.

O'Shannassy weir a nice spot to cool down on a hot day. It's a few hours bike ride from the bush camp along the O'Shannassy aqueduct trail which is right next to the camp.

Government road which links the Warburton highway Warburton to the Warburton pile fields. This is public land and yet it has been closed to the public for decades.

Government road like the one on the left hand side of this survey plan are still around. If this road from the Warburton highway Warburton to the Yarra river were to reopen to foot traffic people could visit the Warburton pile fields.

Christmas Day under "Uncle Sam". Uncle Sam was a giant, Century old, mountain ash tree on the Black Spur road at Fernshaw.

The Powerful owls are back for another season at the bush camp. The last 2 seasons it has been 2 parents and twins. Hopefully it will be twins again this season. There are only an estimate 4,000 of Australia's largest owl in the wild.

Yarra Ranges Council, Melbourne Water, the owner of private property on the Warburton highway and now the Victorian Ombudsman have been involved in a cover up for this and another tree that did not have a permit to be cut down.
