In the past week I was able to buy these very rare Companion guides to Healesville, Blacks Spur, Narbethong and Marysville. It was produced from 1904 to 1917 in various editions. I have walked these mountains described for decades.

Very nice. I’ve been enjoying reading the digital version after seeing it on your blog recently. Where did you find them? Keen to get a copy one day. Great blog.

Hi Ian, I've got 2 digital versions on my bush camp web page. One is image files, which would take a while to download and one is on my blog page a few months ago in pdf format. If you occasionally type in Companion Guide to Healesville on google, or whichever search engine you are using, one will eventually show up. But you might find there is a period of months or even years that go by before a guide is available. There is also a map at the back of the guide and many copies have the map missing. Depending on the edition too there are many more photographs in some than others. You could also try abebooks.com from time to time too.
