Went to Sugarloaf reservoir to see where alot of the rainfall and water that falls and runs through the bush camp ends up for a while. Hadn't been back there since high school in the 1970s and the place looked like it had been in a time warp since then.
Checked the rain guage this morning and was amazed to see 42 mm had fallen overnight. That must be one of the wettest February days for years. Infact that is 5% of the annual rainfall in less than 12 hours. All the creeks are running fast and the air outside is so fresh. The grass never really dried out this summer and remained green, which is fairly uncommon too.
