Urban Interface Zone

Matthew Guy current Liberal Opposition Leader has deceived the Bush Camp for 8 long years. I am setting up class action against him for other landowners who were deceived by him. A detailed description of his Urban Interface Zone deception and how it relates to the Yarra Ranges Bush Camp will follow.
Picture
The map above shows the approximate location where the 2 hectare Urban Interface Zone was going to go on the bush camp. It was to go from one of the two entry roads and stretch all the way to the Yarra river reserve and include an unnamed creek.

The 2 ha UIZ also contains a council drain and because of the unknown nature of any chemicals in the runoff it is unsuitable for any type of farming but the quantity of water in the creek and drain would be enough to generate hydro power to possibly power a whole eco friendly residence that could have been built on the 2 ha.

 This Urban Interface Zone
At the Victorian 2010 State election the Liberal Opposition spruiker for planning Matthew Guy made a signed commitment to create what was called an Urban Interface Zone UIZ. His party was then elected and while he was Planning Minister from 2010 to 2014 he sat on his hand and failed to honor his promise to create an Urban Interface Zone between farming land and residential land. Now in 2018 this deceiver wants to become Premier of Victoria.
The UIZ would have allowed the bush camp to reduce the number of neighbors from 15 down to a handful and thus allow better management of the property. It would finally have allowed a solution ( not the ideal solution ) to an ongoing legal dispute with the MMBW now Yarra Valley Water about a nasty 150 metre long sewerage pipe they installed on the property without notification, consent, compensation or even obtaining an easement. This area where the nasty sewerage pipe was installed has been zoned as green wedge for decades and designated as environmentally significant. I am on septic tank on my farm house and I can't even use the sewerage pipe.
The creation of the Urban Interface Zone would have cost Victorian taxpayers nothing and have lead to hundreds of millions, perhaps billions of dollars in economic activity. It is easy to identify who the beneficiaries of Matthew Guy's deception are : Land Banker and Property Developer mates of his. The losers are just as easy to identify : hundreds, perhaps, thousands of Victorian farming families. The farmers might not even know they have been victims of this deception.
I am in the process of commencing a class action against Matthew Guy for substantial damages. Because the circumstances apply to many others I am looking for them to join me in this class action. There is also a Facebook page for Urban Interface Zone victims as well as a petition in relation to the deception.

This tea tree is unusual in that it died after only about 5 years whereas they can live to several decades usually.

Picked up my new mountain bike yesterday. Now all I need to do is assemble it and then I can ride the bush camp's new mountain bike track that goes for 800 metres from the O'Shannassy aqueduct to the Yarra river.

The unusual dry weather during September and now into October has seen substantial progress of cutting up fallen timber between the O'Shannassy Aqueduct and the Yarra River. It should be able to be ridden by mountain bikes by this summer

There have been many different types of experiments in the local water catchments. This one was known as the road 11 experiment in the Donnellys creek catchment.

It's a bit sad when a 100 plus year old fern tree dies on the bush camp. Luckily there are still hundreds of others still here.
