Camping in the Yarra Ranges at the bush camp there are hundreds of secluded and safe camping spots. Only a maximum of 6 campers on any night and no strangers so it is really safe. Walk the O'Shannassy aqueduct trail right next to the bush camp.
At the bush camp there are several springs. This one is a real gusher. Fill up your 1, 3, 10 or 20 litre containers of water and take it with you after camping.
November 24th, 2021 This giant blackwood tree came down at the bush camp a few days ago. I heard it fall and in 40 years at the bush camp I have not had so many trees fall in such a small period of time.
